I am a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition at Notre Dame of Maryland. My work is rooted in evidence-based integrative and functional nutrition with a focus on thyroid health, metabolic wellness, gut health, and chronic disease prevention.
I hold a Master’s in Nutrition & Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), and I am a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I’ve also completed advanced coursework in Behavior Change and The Science of Well-Being at Yale University, strengthening my approach to sustainable habit formation and whole-person wellness.
My clinical background includes an internship at the University of Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC), where I gained experience in the connection between nutrition, mental health, and metabolic function. I am also the author of It’s Not About the Diet, a book chronicling my personal journey with hyperthyroidism and healing.
I am licensed to practice medical nutrition therapy in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Illinois, and the District of Columbia, meeting all state requirements for clinical nutrition practice and ongoing professional credentialing.
My mission is simple: to empower individuals to reclaim their health through personalized nutrition, evidence-driven guidance, and compassionate support.

Redefine Wellness Beyond the Plate
Feel Strong and Alive RIGHT NOW "It's Not About The Diet" takes you on a powerful journey of healing and transformation inspired by Desiree Green's struggle with thyroid disease. When the tiny, butterfly-shaped thyroid gland in her neck began to fail, Green faced a cascade of health challenges. After undergoing thyroid removal surgery, her health spiraled even further—chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, mood swings, and more became her reality.
This book chronicles her determination to uncover the truth about her health, reclaim her vitality, and help others do the same. Green shares her personal story and reveals her unique strategy, showing why traditional dieting often fails and what works to feel strong, alive, and whole.
